Chengdu, China see’s more expansion from another American based company.  Dallas-based Texas Instruments announced on Friday that  after having opened its semiconductor wafer factory in 2010, it plans an expansion of the site that will run over a fifteen year period.  According to the Dallas Morning News,  Texas Instruments plans to sink $1.69 billion into the build out of the analog semiconductor water factory.
Located in the Sichuan province of China, Chengdu is China’s fourth largest city aptly known as its ‘silicon valley’, it boasts’ a grwoing population of over 14 million residents (2010).
