Apple’s 2013 WWDC keynote began as so many others, with a victory lap of metrics, many incremental improvements from the set of big numbers the company rolled out at its last media event, all uniformly impressive. Here’s a quick rundown of Apple’s WWDC digits.

  • Apple’s developer program is six million registered members strong.
  • It has grown by 1.5 million since WWDC 2012.
  • There are now 407 Apple retail stores worldwide, in 14 countries.
  • Those stores see more than one million visitors daily.
  • Consumers have downloaded 50 billion apps from the App Store to date.
  • There are 900,000 apps in the App Store; 375,000 of them are designed specifically for iPad.
  • As of today there are 575 million iTunes Store accounts with associated credit cards.
  • That’s 175 million more than Apple announced at WWDC 2012.
  • Apple has doled out $10 billion to app developers; $5 billion of that was paid in the last year.
  • Apple has shipped 28 million copies of OS X Mountain Lion.
  • The Mac’s installed base is 72 million.
  • Apple has sold 600 million iOS devices.
  • 93 percent of them are running iOS 6.

Thank you. TiA.
