SHARING AMERICA'S TECH NEWS FROM THE VALLEY TO THE ALLEY

Apple (AAPL) says it will fight the recent ruling against the company in the case of e-book pricing, says Tom Neumayr, spokesman for Apple. Mr. Neumayr says these are “false allegations.”
It seems the judge in the case, Honorable Denise Cote ruled in favor of the claim stating, “The plaintiffs have shown that the publisher defendants conspired with each other to eliminate retail price competition to raise e-book prices, and that Apple played a central role in facilitating and executing that conspiracy,” Cote said in today’s opinion.
The ruling leaves Apple in a precarious position to continue the battle to clear its name of conspiracy charges that, if clearly executed, would have affected how Amazon.com charges for sales of e-books.
